Protect your walls!
Tripwire offers "Servers Under Siege: A Day in the Life of an IT Defender," a respectable office poster; alternatively, they also provide a lovely wine-colored "Common Exploits & Vulnerabilities Matrix."
https://www.tripwire.com/resources/posters/index.cfm
You can view the "IT Defender" poster through the above link; to access an image (PDF) of the second poster, google it without quotes.'The world is a jungle in general, and the networking game contributes many animals.' ~RFC 826Comment

Here's the deal. You can download most of the stuff directly off of Novell's site. Depending on the product they will give you the registration number that is valid for x number of days.Originally posted by AlxRoganIn case anyone cares, they are still shipping out the Novell Technical Resource Kit, got mine in today with their Suse 9 Enterprise Linux w/2.6 kernel.
The pain in the ass part of the Resource Kit is that they don't give you the registration number. This was a PITA for me because I wanted to try out Oracle on Suse on my shiny new dual opteron server. However, you need Service Pack 3 for Suse to install Oracle necesitating a call to Novell to get a registration number. Anyway, I'm glad to see that things are still as efficient as ever at Novell, when I last worked there 16 years ago.
Anyway, I'm kinda liking Suse. Setup and config was easy. When I switched monitors X wasn't working, so I launced sax2 and it reconfigged X like magic. I've had a test samba/print server up for 2 weeks and its been running without a hitch despite heavy usage.Last edited by murakami; September 2, 2004, 15:39.Comment
