Pomme > Palm :) Good alliterative twist, though.

To be honest, I really prefer using my Newton over my Palm. Mind you, that's probably mostly for the shock value of seeing peoples' faces when they realise that I'm not stabbing a small housebrick with a pencil, but rather operating a Newton.

      DefCon PDA app progress...

but I was using it personally and I found it really helpful to have the
Palm tell me everything about what events were going on RIGHT NOW
without having to carry the little book around and check the clock.
It's loaded with full event descriptions, and speaker bios. The palm would
also buzz me when events checked "interesting" were coming up.

Integration to DefCon's NoteEx would be a wishlist item...

Would this be something DefCon would want to talk about setting up?
An IR download station at the registration desk (ala CES) would be cool.
If so, I could use any source data you guys have for the schedule.
Snarfing the rendered HTML is a pain in the ass.
DefCon's HTML looks nice, but it's in pretty rough shape for autosnarfing.
The import is going slower than I'd like, but I'm almost done..
ConMan development is being hosted by sourceforge
      now, so that's good.. http://www.sourceforge.net/projects/pconman
Some Java "Enterprise" bourgeois nonsense got the name conman.. oh well

I've also obtained 1 (maybe 2) Palm IIIs to be hopefully used as "beaming stations". Anyone know how to set that up, software-wise?

Donations of mothballed Palm III devices appreciated.

I had a brief heartattack thinking someone stole my PIII from the office. Turns out I just mothballed it in the bottom of one of the moving boxes I still have. Whew!

Looks great! Now if only this was a blackberry app......
