Random Death
1 in 24. That's actually a lot for this game. See below.
The game is structured such that individual questions are extremely important.
I understand wanting to put off-the-wall questions in there, but there is no accumulator
of earned points that a player can fall back on if he gets a weird question wrong. Most
of the time, I was answering 1 question per round, so that question was the only factor
that went into the other contestants' voting. If it was a bullshit question, then it sucks to be
me. I did pretty well, but eventually I was knocked out by a Sideshow Bob question. In
Jeopardy, I probably would have just won based on my accumulated points from the
previous rounds, but in this game, the Sideshow Bob questions can happen to anyone at
any time and that's just random death if you're unlucky. It's something to consider when you
edit the questions.
For the same reason, I don't like the voting. It's mean-spirited and unsporting.
Random death isn't typically a feature of games which are fun to play.
It's kind of like having the Nintendo crash when you've got the Boss down to a 1/2 heart.
