What I don't get with this whole thing is why this guy thinks that defcon owes him anything. It is a conference run by people. There was nothing illegal or immoral about anything done by Chris or anyone else on the defcon side of things. They made a choice.

Good point. The other thing they tend to forget is that if you choose to exercise that right, you'd damned well better be prepared for people to comment on whatever it is you happen to spew. Just because free speech may be protected doesn't mean that anyone else has to agree with it.

Based on that, and the fact that the email was not only addressed to Jeff and the greeting was to Jeff and only Jeff, I don't see how a response could reasonably be expected from me.

I will say a couple of quick things. He is correct that he did not physically 'grab' me. I didn't think I gave that impressiion and that folks understood what I meant. If not, now ya know.

DT basically did everything that he could to help them out when they talked to him at the Alexis Park. That didn't make them happy. I can't do anything about that.

It's funny, 100% of the appoved Vendors were happy with the Vendor Area this year and have provided feedback to me as such. We have had exactly ONE complaint. From folks that weren't approved for space and then were afforded special treatment anyway as a courtesy by DT. Live and learn.
