In a way, yes. The manager of the Alexis Park overhead the Dark Tangent and got spooked: "Oh, no room for Defcon, huh? Fine, I'll go build my own hotel! With blackjack and hookers!"

I don't quite agree with that, but, in many cases, you can safely substitute "gender" for "sex" in that quote.

Ok, I along with several other defcon people visited the new club at Alexis Park. We also saw a lot of the other changes that were occuring at the hotel, such as pool one completely dug up and redesigned.

The Club has taked over the restaurant and the bar area. This bar is charging something like $250 a bottle for Absolute. Drinks were expensive and this was definietly off-peak. There were only 12 people in the club. It is designed very posh with huge leather easy chairs and lots of stuff to break. I , this might be a big assumption but, don't think defcon will be hosted at this hotel. I could possibly be wrong but you should visit this hotel to see the changes. The Front doors are not even there anymore. I was going to paint fake ones for the cannonball run kids to run into, er through :)

I was there Tuesday night.. and ALOT has changed. The same thought crossed my mind "DefCon is gonna be HERE???" looks like it is going to be a nice place, it also looks like we will be finding a new place for our shinanigans next year. I hate it when I have to find a new home. :(

They have priced themselves out on much of thier liquor sales, from what I observed. Why pay those high-ass prices when there are liquor stores right down the street?

As for tearing out pool one, we could have done that for them!
God.. I hate to see what the damage list goes up to this year!!

And a nice hotel at that. We can even dig a pool in the back so we can have entertainment!
