It depends on how she feels hanging around a a three day event that's all tech and some heavy partying. I'm pretty sure my wife was happy to have me go without her.

Well, I figure if I go, it will just be me.

She could go along, but she would not likely be interested at all with DC. And if she went along, she'd want to spend the time with me. So she'd probably let me go alone knowing it wouldn't be worth it for her to go along anyways.

She just comes to show her support and because she loves me!

DefCon reminds me of the population of last Metallica concert I attended.

Lots of beer and alcohol, modest moshing in the pit, nudity near the pit, "adults" on the field, but not in the pit, and parents with kids in the stadium seats.

Fast forward 20 years, and there will be DefCon people riding around on modified Larks with demands for ADA compliance in the hotel and a pharmacy located right next door to a liquor store. There will also be a bunch of old farts sitting around saying, "Back in my day, we had 2GB of RAM on personal computers and we liked it!"

How does what work, and you don't get what?

                        State your problem clearly.

Look through other threads and you can learn by example. Posting is like playing chess through the mail-- timezones and scheduling need not prevent the "game" from being played (even if slower than it could be.)
