"Walker, Texas Ranger"...the episode with "The Wizard" who is taking over an airplane by typing a few keystrokes, dumping the fuel, decompressing the cabin, seriously screwing up the auto pilot...and the "good" hacker who undoes all of his evil by "piggy-backing" The Wizards signal. Funny shit there...

Herbie Goes to Monte Carlo. It had nothing to do with hacking whatsoever.

If I had a nickle for every time someone offered me ten cents to keep my two cents to myself... I would be a rich man.

I would have to say "Takedown".. it truly sucked balls. I could not get through even half of it before deleting it from the hard drive and salting the sectors it lay on..

Geez, I am suprised no one hasn't mentioned Die Hard and Die Hard 2.

Gotta love how Colm Meaney buys the farm in Die Hard 2 thanks to a little hacking...

If anyone remembers the show "Ghostwriter" there was an episode with a hacker named "Max Mouse" who kept setting off the school fire alarm, then some girl died in a housefire because the fire department was too busy trying to get to the school or something.

Then there's the episode of the Proud Family featuring Mega and his peer-to-peer filesharing service, EZ-Jackster

I have seen that one, a lot of times. The hacker girl sucks.

                            You have kids too eh?

What about "CyberChasers" on PBS with "hacker" as the bad guy? That seems to use computer buzz words to make up the whole show, with no thought for the meaning behind them. What are they teaching our kids these days, too be "Ub33r L337" ass hats?

                            [edit]

No one said Terminator where the kid had the ATM card (which is magnetic strip) with the NES style cables pluged into it.

It would seem from all of the responses that Hollywood does the same to hackers as it does to southerners, i.e., all hackers are criminal asshats...all southerners are illiterate hillbillies with red necks and beer bellies. When you wonder where all the fucktards come from, they are a product of Hollywood. People without any computer savvy tend to believe the shit they see on TV and at the movies.
