I am surprised that someone has not mentioned that a visit to the community college bookstore often proves fruitful when searching for books. You can find used text books at really reasonable prices covering almost any subject. I have mentioned this website before:
    http://www.programmingtutorials.com/c.aspx
Give that a try and see if that is what you are looking for as far as C tutorials online are concerned.
I enjoy talking to myself...it's usually the only intelligent conversations I get to have.

I can't say that there is one definitive book out there for C++, however I found the Black Book of C++ to be quite helpful. It probably was responsible for me passing my C++ class.

      # Paperback: 832 pages
      # Publisher: Coriolis Group Books; Bk&CD-Rom edition (December 21, 2000)
      # Language: English

        I am also learning C.
Feel the lack of source codes of really simple programs from wich I can practice.
I am under freebsd, but most small programs are still too complicated for me...
