Hey that is awesome! My dad and I are really into shooting and this would be right up our alley. I am assuming that the range rents out guns? Can you rent out fully-automatic guns at said range?

Abby Normal answered your question about the DC Shoot. Many official and unofficial events have links from the main defcon website. If you ask a question about an event again without first searching for the event, don't expect as positive of a response.

Last year, my friends and I went down to a firing range (not the DC Shoot) and dropped a total of about $600 to fire 4 different automatic weapons. It is not cheap to rent automatic weapons and fire at a range.

Try performing a google search of Defcon shoot in the google images to see images and story boards from different people.

I've never gone to the defcon shoot even though I would like to.
Mainly for the reason that many of the people that will be shooting pretty hardcore weapons and crazy shit, I witness getting drunk off their ass the night before. I'd just be worried about someone
hungover.

But.. knowing most defcon shoot types and have met a few of the people, its safe to say that I would trust them to shoot an apple of my head... (well... maybe not heh, ESP. not with that .50 cal sniper rifle :-P ). Its just too early for me too....

How can we be sure of this, If memory serves me correct you never did shoot anything last year. Then again you were busy making sure we were all being good and following the rules in which you guys layout for us.
