Well well well, the truth comes out. If you were going to "modify" it, maybe you should have modified more than two lines. If you are able to code a program "of that size", you should have written one and given it as your original example.

A word of warning, incorrect spelling could affect your coding.

Simple-- don't pretend to be something that you are not.

At Defcon you will find all sort of folks, from the 14 year old curiosity seeker to the retired NSA chief scientist. Don't start calling people names unless you know them. It is NOT a good way to score points here, nor in real life.

And if you change one little line in code it is still someone else's code. Look kid, if you write a code that just makes the computer beep once a second for ten seconds and that is FINE! Do that, post the code, then we can go from there.

"Fit in" by being yourself. Lurk for a while and contribute when you have something meaningful to contribute. I don't know much at all about coding, so I generally stay out of those discussions. However, I do have other areas of knowledge where I do try to contribute.

That being said, this forum is filled with some very intelligent people in a wide variety of computer fields. I don't know for sure but I'd bet there are forum regulars from the teens to retired. There really should be no desire to impress anyone (once you get out of 9th or 10th grade you'll realize that). Your goal should be to soak up as much as you can.
