A music fan's bicycle put the Ohio University campus on high alert Thursday morning.

OU says around 5:30 a.m., a mountain bicycle chained outside a campus business caught the attention of the university's police department.

The bike had a sticker on it that said, "This Bike is a Pipe Bomb."

Four university buildings were closed for hours and the Columbus police bomb squad was called in.

Its members determined there was no bomb, and an all-clear was given by 9 a.m.

This flashlight is a shotgun.

Hello.

Take a size "C" duracell flashlight cell, it can be dead.
Carefully cut the label off with an exacto knife along the side, there is a slight seam that works quite well.
Remove the top and bottom caps and the label, dispose of the actual cell after taking measurments.
Now, get a section of 3/4" pipe, cut this to the same size as the cell.
Sand down the inside and ouside edges.
You will now need a 12 gauge shotgun shell.
Make sure the shotgun shell fits snug inside the piece of pipe, snug but not tight.
Now, carefully, put a thin circular paper washer, a reinforcement grommet for paper for your 3 ring binder works quite well.
Now, carefully! put a BB on the center of the primer.
Place the cap with the tip, the + end, over the BB and primer, be very careful.
Now, carefully, put the plastic label over the whole thing.
This can be fired in 2 ways.
Electric, allow a fair amount of current to flow, a short circuit a 2 or more cells will allow enough this to fire.
Mechanical, a good shock to the tip will force the BB into the primer.
If you are careful and crafty, you can have something that looks just like a standard flashlight cell.
I started this after seeing a Russian made shotgun battery, this was copied after an eveready cell with the metal shell.
