I'm a big hairy man..The world does not need to see that. Bluknight in his latex whatever thing was frightening enough (although it was amusing).

As far as the partying vs. conference thing goes I agree and disagree with some folks. I do agree that if you are only attending Defcon to get falling down drunk and munch drugs, then please stay at home. First, you are a danger to yourself and others. Second, you are a liability to us. Third, you are a distraction to the rest of the con goers. But I do feel that partying has its place at Defcon. For some of us its the only time every year that we get to hang out anywhere other than IRC. Also, for those of us that do InfoSec for a living, its a welcome break from having to constantly deal with security. Also, I've been to all of the Defcons and the one consistent thing I have found is that I learn the most hanging out and drinking with people. The talks are fine and you get a good idea of the speakers concept, but you really learn something if you are lucky enough to catch a few drinks with the speaker afterwards. At Defcon 6 I think I learned more in 4 hours in the bar with Mudge than I did during the entire convention. So, partying has a place, but it shouldnt be your focus for going..

I return whatever i wish . Its called FREEDOWM OF RANDOMNESS IN A HECK . CLUSTERED DEFEATED CORn FORUM . Welcome to me

        Partying is cool.
But for god's sake lets not forget Defcon is a Computer Security Convention!!!!

A lot of people, some of them well respected people decided not to come to Defcon cause they thought it was going crapy and went to HAL instead.

        That should say something.
