2600 Meeting this Friday

People are meeting all across the world tomorrow (First Friday of Every Month) at their local 2600 meetings to talk about everything and anything with fellow people.

Most meetings start @ 5PM, NevadaUnderground starts @ 8 and Irvine area is @ 8. To find out where the 2600 meeting is near you check out The 2600 Meeting List

Does OC even still happen anymore? Some of our crew checked a few of the meets out and said it was a much younger crowd and as a result ended pretty early. There site's been down for a while now. I still link to them off the LA2600 page, but I'm thinking they've gone the way of the last 3 groups that tried to do an OC 2600..

Ya the meetings are still happening. In fact, two months ago there was a whole slew of new people that came. The first time Miss Turtle and myself went to the OC meet we were pissed off how no body was taking. They would look at us then go on the computers more and ignore new people. Alienated. Now the meetings are a lot better.

We went back, wohOoo the computers were gone from the cafe, lots more talking. heheh and some people in the vegas crew were pissed off @ me for not wanting it at a place where there were computers (: computer people, for the most part, when put in front of a computer will just work it rather than talk. The older people are cool however, full of info and stories. The older the wiser. At the OC meeting last month everything was cool, people were talking all in a huge circle which we had to keep growing. It was cold outside though (:

Theres a UG group in the OC - Irvine area, forming in the same concept as the Nevada meets. Hoping to help everything grow and get the vegas people back on track.

About the Oc2600 meeting, in a few hours.

I belive that at this oc2600, we will meet at the same place around 7-8PM. Then, I think we are going to a BBQ that Resonate is hosting.

In re: about Irvine area. It is still in development and keeping a lowdown while everything is setup. NevadaUnderground, although was the host of the 2600 meetings in vegas, it wasnt just about that. Events would take place, every group from all different parts of the UG would meet up instead of having meetings on different days.

About the OC2600 website, it is currently down. I made give it webspace, its sortof up in the air.

I was going to sortof "take charge" of the website, and host it on the same server this message board is on, but I was lazy, and bagel took it over. The site was up for quite a while, and just recently went offline (I think)

Anyways, I am going to try to get to the oc2600 meet tonight.

I did a quick look on google for a sd2600 meeting page and couldn't find one... There were only a few links and most were dead.

I dunno check it out next month =P

If you are in SD, the meeting down there is totaly worth your time. Theres some seriously hardcore folks down that way. People like Prole, CP5, h1kari, and Subkor..they're every thing you want in a hacker meeting. They're smart, they're active, and they're very nice people.

Oc 2600 is pretty nice too, and I heard LA actually has around 20 people. OC had 20 people this time, and SD has the most people...
The LA and OC website are currently down. The OC 2600 site will be back up soon though.
