Exactly! These are great.. and generally charge by the plate with cost denoted by plate color, or something along those lines. One would think it to be quite expensive, but its actually not that bad unless you intend to absolutely gorge yourself on as much food as you can possibly fit. All you can eat + go-round > * .. I'd be amazed if they exist.
if it gets me nowhere, I'll go there proud; and I'm gonna go there free.

I have only seen two of them, one here in the DC area and another in Hawaii since I left Japan. All of the Sushi restaurant's I have eaten at in Las Vegas has been in the hotels or the sushi at a hotel buffet.

They can't be beat for a "pay as you go" type of deal. You pay for what you eat, or at least what plates you carry to the cashier. No body gets stuck with the bill and you get to choose what sushi you eat.

The only down side I have found to them is that quality varies and is seldom up to par with your more typical "tourist" type sushi bar.

So - with the time drawing near, has a decision been made for Sushicon. Seems like most of the votes are for Wednesday night. Now all I need is a time and place to plug into my calendar.

It looks like we'll be having the event on Wednesday. I will be calling places in the area this week to set something up. If you plan on attending, please post here or send me a PM so that I may get an approximate head count.

            Thanks

I will give it a shot. I may have my son and his girlfriend joining me but will not know for another week or not if they are going to be able to make it.

Has a location and meet time been set?

I would like to go but need the above info to confirm with my travel plans.

Working on getting us a place to hold the event. So far I only have ~20 RSVPs. I am going to call and make the reservation this week, however I still urge those of you who plan to attend to let me know. If I don't book enough spots -- some may not get served. If I book in excess, the restaurant will want a deposit and if persons don't show up I'm out of money. We will most likely be meeting at the location around 7 or 8PM. More information to follow.
