    Beverage Creation Contest

    Anyone like to participate in a creative beverage contest? Bring your moonshine, tequila and other creative juices and mix them up. Homemade brew, no problem.

    If you tasted from the bugsprayer last year you understand.

      Dr Faustus is running a Home Brew type contest this year. I'm still trying to figure out the specifics so we don't piss off the hotel/casino. And I think it may be limited to beer or cider. He's posted somewhere in the forums...

          This user posted this idea before we received notce about, "Brew Wars!" but for people finding this just now instead of the Brew Wars! forum:

          We made a forum for its discussion in contests/events called [forum=315]Brew Wars![/forum]

              Actually, I was hoping to sponser a Hooch wars..something with a bit more of a kick. THe last few years a really cool dude has brought some good hooch, but I have suffered memory loss when he tells me who he is.

              I have traded hooch several times, and well same problem, I cant remember anyone ..so I thought at least this time I could remember we officially (or unofficially) traded hooch.

              Mine comes in a bugsprayer.

                  If you can get it listed as a contest on the DC15 page, I can create a forum for it here.

                  It might be too late though, as a call for event organizers to provide information about their contests/event was posted several months ago. One and Two

                  Maybe it is still possible, but you won't know until you try.

                  What I can do it set your other thread about this as a sticky here.

                      I'm suspecting something of this caliber is gonna have to be done on a down-low within the conference to some extent... else face the wrath of Vegas Money Trolls and Liquor License Protectors of teh Property Management.
                      if it gets me nowhere, I'll go there proud; and I'm gonna go there free.

                                      Im interested... and from what I know you dont have to worry about a license IF your not selling it and you make some attempt not to server minors....

                                          Thats if you are brewing beer or wine. Distilled spirits are a whole different ballgame.

                                              I know someone that in the past had done something like www.barmonkey.net at defcon, byt maybe he just didnt get caught.

                                              But Now that I read more about it, its about creating your own. I was thinking of creating a drink... Using existing Licours.

                                                      I'll volunteer to judge.. The winner receives a bottle of liquor, the looser a bartending manual.

                                                      I tried the moonshine from the bugsprayer at DC13 and I also tried that yard cup that had god knows what in it.. it had an odd color to it as well.
