Lucky you. The first year I was all the way back by the 3rd pool in building 24...the year after I w as lucky and got a room in bulding 4 which is out the door on the left in the lobby. Last year I was back in building 22 close to the 3rd pool again.

It's a long ass walk especially when your arms are full of bottles of liquor.

Long Walk

Even though it's a long walk, it's not that bad. You get to walk past all three pools if you're in one of the back buildings. That means you see three parties instead of one. Also, you meet three times the people on the walkways. I stayed in building 26 at DC8 which is about as far back as you can get, but it wasn't bad.

Is there going to be a place I can change at AP for the B&W ball? I don't see why I couldn't in the bathroom, but someone mentioned they couldn't dress up in a previous year because they were staying too far away. The folks I'm staying with have picked a hotel .8 miles away. My outfit (if I don't change my mind) is all black, not cotton, and I'm not walking .8 mi in those boots. (Girly girls probably walk in worse, but I'll be about as girly as I get all year, and I don't have to like walking in them boots. :) The skirt would also be weird to walk in.

Is there going to be couches/chairs/somewhere out of the way where I could take a (non-enebriated) catnap during the day?

You should just be able to change in the bathroom in the lobby. Although someone would probably let you change in their room.

And I don't recommend falling asleep anywhere outside of a hotel room.
