Which 1000HD? I understand that the Best Buy edition does not support injection. I bought the 1000H which does not have a supporting wireless card. However in my reading, I ran across this which suggested the following card:

Not really impressive or new, but the other day I wanted to hook up an old IBM Model M keyboard, with an AT connector, to an arduino to mess with it. The protocol and pinout is well documented all over the internet, but actually connecting the pins without cutting anything on the keyboard was a bit more tricky.
I ended up dismantling an old MIDI cable, which uses the same physical connector, and using that as my AT socket. It's not stupid, it's advanced.Comment

Thats interesting because I bought mine at BestBuy.
If you have the Atheros AR5007 wireless card, it supports injection with the ath5k driver.DaKahuna

Re: What is the most memorable hacking you've done in the past 30 days?
I've been considering picking up the GN-WI06N for mine [AR5008 I believe], but I'm curious if it is one that has the ability like the atheros card the 701 comes with to have both a monitoring interface and a connecting interface.
That is, with the 701's atheros card, iwconfig shows both an ath0 and a wifi0 interface. I can run airmon-ng on wifi0 then airodump-ng on the ath1 vap that creates, but still be able to use wireless over the ath0 interface [albeit at half the speed I am sure].
Thanks for any insights." 'Yields falsehood when preceded by its quotation' yields falsehood when preceded by its quotation."

Hmmm. The translation is a little wonky, but from what I understand, you may be close.
