Can you imagine what it would feel like to get hit with a potato launched from 200 yards away?

They couldn't trace it to you, there would be no rifling marks on the potato from the barrel, though since a potato is generally over 1/2" diameter it would constitute a weapon needing special regulation.

This could make for an interesting Defcon shoot. Maybe a full auto version?

Yeah, and you know what they will start calling you... Potato Terrorists... it's sounds like the Fry Guys... You are not painting a pretty picture for those short muppet McDonaldland creatures.

            Fry Guys

Those little McDonalds Guys are of the Devil. They have already tarnished their good name. Remember what they did during the LA Riots? Absolutely Apalling.

Well, ahem, back to hauling in your PC....

Has anyone seen the plastic roll up keyboards? USB enabled? They look cool but I wonder if they are functional.

I sure hope folks can bring stuff they are proud of and show the rest of us!

Not too sure, I saw a demo of one, but I have an issue with touching someone elses infestation board. Personally I require a board that gives strong tactile feedback. I could not last an hour pressing down on membrane that didn't need me to push down and make clickity sounds... no sir, no I! :)

LONG LIVE THE STRONG TACTILE FEEDBACK KEYBOARDS THAT MAKE THE CLICKITY SOUNDS!

Those are kinda neat keyboards but the small keyboards that I like are the Happy Hacking Keyboards. They are good for the CTF stuff because they are strong, small and make your fingers say "Aahhhhhhhhhh"

Yep, I have one. It was kind of annoying at first. You have to push a little harder on the keys, and you have to be pretty much dead center. I recently had a problem with hitting one letter and getting another, but that fixed itself when I washed it.

Of course, that's the whole reason I got it. I live at my keyboard, and it usually causes me to go through them pretty fast. When this one gets dirty, I just unplug it, run it under the sink with some anti-bacterial soap, and I'm good to go again.

It's not all that durable. I'm noticing soft spots on many of the keys where the membrane is a little streched, and a lot of the letters have rubbed off. Neither affects the functionality, so I don't worry about it. I think I paid less than $10 for it, so no biggie if it wears out. Also, if you colour your hair, and the dye rubs off onto your fingers, it will permanently stain the keys. Learned that from experience, LOL!

I use latex gloves now, used to paint the nails black, but it looked like my hands were lacking oxygen... lol..

Every other month or so I take my keyboards apart and clean them and sometimes even wash them, the board is ok to wash as long as you make sure it is dry before plugging it back in, and making sure that none of the elements get wet :)

I remember one time some kid was moving something around their area and dropped their keyboard and it poofed out a big dust cloud of eyelashes, skin flakes, and other gross things... luckily I was already on the run when I saw it falling, like a slow motion scene in a movie... everyone else got a taste of his dna.

I'd love to find one of those small keyboards that you can velcro to your forearm.

Actually you can do this with a regular keyboard, just be sure to dry it out before using it again. I have even heard that you can put them in the dishwasher, but I would recomend turning down the heat it you do this. II usually go at my keyboards with some rubbing alcohol and a bunch of q-tips, unless I spill something on it, then I clean it in the sink.

on a separate note these forums have been busy, I just got back from a three week vacation and there were about 7 pages of new or updated threads.

Hmmm, would be interesting to have on on each arm... perhaps half on each arm.. so when one was typing, one would be crossing arms and typing inversely-backwards... personally i am waiting for the neural uplinks...

I once saw a ball on a stand and the ball had keys on it, it was about the size of a soccer ball and you just held it like a ball and they keys were on the sides, curves for your fingers. That would make an awesome helmet.

With the new roll up keyboards I'm sure someone can cut it apart and get really creative, watch those connections through.
