Great, I can see it now. They next mystery box indeed cannot be opened, but rather you have to calculate the probability of it already being solved. I knew I should have made it over to that quantum cryptography demo last year.

Of course the burn is on the winning team, since they get a container which may or may not have a black badge in it. Do they open it, and risk definitely not having a black badge, or keep it closed to retain the possibility of being uber?

Not to sound too wizard of oz, but IMHO it's the opening of the box that makes a team uber. The contents are irrelevant.
