Oh yeah, I do remember seeing this one. Blubber flying everywhere. The beach was totally soaked in blood and guts.

I saw it as one of those "funny clips" type programs. I don't know if it's online at all, and since I'm barbequeing brats right now, I don't care to look.

          What is a lockboard?
What happens with the locksmithing festivities?
Havent ventured to defcon yet, plan to this summer, if I can scrounge up the bones.

Nothing like good old fashioned family fun. "C'mon kids, they're blowin' up a whale!"

WTF? An on topic post in a semi-on-topic thread, which has degenerated off topic.... I'm confused.

and you just confused me :)
Sorry I saw such derangements, and figured I am allowed to derange as well.

Is this a sort of nazi on-subject board?

                  Board

This is the kind of board that stays on topic for about the first ten posts. From there, who knows.

I think people don't like creating new threads in phear of being rejected... I could be wrong, please don't reject me. ;)

                        Rejection

Hey we're all geeks here. Rejection should be something we're used to by now.

Even us girl geeks. "Sorry, computers just aren't my thing" is something I've heard more than once lately. And people don't believe that I'm serious when I tell them I'm dating my network. ;)

                            What I'm brining

Looks like I"m late the the party as usual, but here's a partial list of what I'm brining. In the past I realized I brought WAY too much stuff. This year I hope to bring far less but still be effective:

                            - 750 MHz Sony Vaio Z505LS ultralight w/ triple capacity battery. OpenBSD -current. 256 MB RAM, 802.11b, etc. etc.
                            - Yaesu VX5r w/ MODS (that is, unless Tyger gets her ticket, in which case I will look into the new and sexy vx7). I will skip on brining the FT-90 50W 2m/440 mobile and power supply. ;)
                            - FRS radio for shits n' giggles. Earbuds for both radios.
                            - Grundig portable shortwave radio with retractable antenna (works great as a travel alarm clock!
                            - as much radio gear as I can possibly shovel into a suitcase and get away with.
                            - FREQUENCY GUIDES. ;) Maybe I will publish one before the con of some good Vegas freqs. and other general stuff? Anyone else find this interesting?
                            - Bearcat scanner that picks up 30 MHz to 50 Mhz w/o mods. ;)
                            - hub of some sort or another
                            - Tons o' cat 5
                            - SUNGLASSES
                            - SUNSCREEN (AP will charge you $10 for a bottle of the decent stuff)
                            - A token Domo-Kun
                            - tons of clothes. Extra undies and socks.
                            - BRING SANDALS. They will keep your feet cool. Besides, you do NOT want to walk around barefoot during the day.
                            - Bring a bathing suit.
                            - Leatherman (but store it in your main suitcase, not on your person for cryin' out loud (if you're flying at least))
                            - Smokes (if you smoke)
                            - Maybe an 802.11b WAP
                            - Plenty of free new mix CDs for everyone and Froggystyle stickers!
                            - Plenty of other stickers for sale.
                            - Digital camera! (Sony DSC-1)
                            - Digital video camera for shits n' giggles
                            - Extra Hi8 tape!
                            - Herbs and vitamins to keep me going. Probably a mix of Ma Huang, Kola nut and Guarana. Mmm... I should be bouncing off of the walls. :)
                            - A handful of change in case things get tight
                            - A hat. Preferably something geeky
                            - A swank outfit for the black and white ball. If I decide not to get creative, I will probably bring the Men in Black suit I was wearing last year. (You may remember me. Totally black suit, stark white shirt, earbud, dark sunglasses, no smiles, 250 pounds on a 6 foot frame)
                            - A sharpie marker (Don't ask questions, just bring one)
                            - calling cards/business cards

More importantly, THINGS TO LEAVE AT HOME if you're flying:

                            - Anything in a pressurized canister. This includes lighter fluid, mace, pepper spray, etc. Small lighters are exempt. Leave the rest at home
                            - Glass. Just don't do it.

I noticed a lot of folks here are brining comms and we should maybe set up a new thread to talk about that a little more. I know one things for certain, anyone transmitting shit music on FRS 1 will definitely get a boot in their ass if we manage to triangulate you.

ACK!... don't you wish that IRL there was a /kick command? I have learned that speaking to these types of ppl isn't often the most beneficial.

I do, I think either you or someone else mentioned they were compiling a freq-guide for LV. All my scanner books are outdated, as well as the freq books that they have at the con, I forgot the guy who sells them for a grip..
