    regardless of whatever gets decided as the photo policy this year, will you cover that topic in DC101 and talk about general photo etiquette?

    feel free to publicly use any of the ones i linked to in the other thread as examples of what not to do or what to try to do, heh.

        Of course. We've done it for the past three years, and I think it's something the n00bs should be well aware of.

            Thanks for all replies! I read all about DefCon registration but I though that 101 requires registration as well, that is was kinda something "on top" of DefCon. I see know that it is just part of it so I guess I just need to show up Thursday morning, get my badge and check the program for 101. Awesome!

                        That kinda sucks. Last year was my first year at DefCon - loved it - world of knowledge and cool people. The schedule was up on the con site at least a month before; and I was able to tightly plan my talks and other activities. Many talks that I was interested in overlapped with one another and having the schedule helped me decide which I would make beforehand.

                        Any chance they will put up a schedule at least within the week of the DefCon launch?

                            Well, DC101 will be on Thursday at 1pm. Other than that, it really doesn't matter....

                                HighWiz, glad to see you are schooling newbs again this year. I'm still a newb. It's just that last year I benefited a lot, I think, by planing out my time before I got to Vegas. I guess this time if I get my program on Thursday morning along with my badge I shall have enough time to schedule my time.

I know the person who does the site is the person who also does the program and is uber-busy... As to why Lock chose the words he did, who knows? But my guess is that he wasn't saying the schedule wouldn't be posted, but just the someone could find it in the program.

                                        Yeah, we are quickly approaching my educated guess on when the schedule would be on-line; Friday or Saturday. I'd say 50/50 chance of it being up before Saturday ends, but this is not based on any insight or special information; only experience from previous years. If not by Saturday, then increasing probability from 50% to 90% by 10% increments each day next week, Monday through Friday. (I really hate to bug all of the goons and staff that are busy with prep to ask a question like this; it will be ready when it is ready.)

                                        As for what will be up? I have no idea. It may be HTML-only,or HTML and a PDF, or just a PDF. Historically, HTML has been available first more often then after a PDF (because of back-fill of PDF for old cons that had HTML up first.)

                                            And of course the DefCon Mobile Agenda that you will be able to get on your Mobile Device. That one I know is being worked on as we speak.
