do not worry about the balance... it will be ok. if necessary, i'll have 3 staff lanes one hour but perhaps only 2 the other hour, something like that.

if it gets SERIOUSLY lop-sided, we'll have to see what we can do.

I don't feel cool when I go there. I'm tired of seeing John Mayer's face pop up. I feel like I'm being hustled when I visit there, and I don't think their product is that great. DRM, low bit rate, etc... OiNK it existed because it filled a void of what people want."

the lanes will be made by taking tables that are 8' long and putting them underneath the 10' x 10' canopies. they will be put all the way in one corner, extending along a side.

thus, it will look like this (if my ASCII art renders properly in a fixed-width font)...

      _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
[ _ _ _ _ _ _ ] _ __
[ _ _ _ _ _ _ ] _ __
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

with each canopy set up directly adjacent to the next one, it will leave a 2' aisle for people to walk downrange during case-fires, etc. each canopy will accommodate two lanes, with the lanes sharing a table that is 8' long and about 18" deep.

so each shooting group will have the following to call their own...
      1. a table space 4' x 1½'
      2. a little more than 4' x 8' to mill around in the shade or sit on a chair (each lane has at least one chair since i'm getting about a dozen just to have them)

in reality there is a little more space than that, since the "aisles" aren't in use when the lanes are hot, hence you could stand there and hang out a little, making your personal space 5' wide as opposed to 4'

still... imagine a 4x8 sheet of plywood on the ground. can you and four friends stand on it comfortably? i'd think so, as long as you've taken showers that morning.

there will also be one spare tent canopy, set far back from the lines, with extra chairs and such... designated as a general hangout and relaxing area. if you're not actively shooting, feel free to be there in order to stay cool, etc. again, this also won't be crowded as long as we don't have a lot of non-badged people just freeloading on our shade and free water.

I'm bringing a couple of SBRs and a can. And some other stuff. Fastest. 5320.20s. Ever. No more FA though, I sold my subgun when I was in grad school. Plenty of semi fun; if anyone has a belt loader for a 1919 it could be put to good use. Izzy steel links, 7.62.

I'll have at least one with me. Perhaps more interesting stuff could be limited to a lane for demonstration purposes? I remember scrub out there but also a lot of rocks...
