            Get your deposit back

            You'd have to check your individual credit card agreement, but you should be able to get your deposit back from your credit card company if the AP jacks up the price on you like that. You might even be able to call them afterwards and tell them you didn't know that they jacked up the price on you to get the difference refunded. the first night deposit that your credit card company already has on file would probably be enough to prove that they ripped you off.
