Prices are a little higher than I'm accustomed to for plinking ammo, so I'm going to rescind my "couple hundred rounds" comment. I will likely buy 60 rounds from you (nice round number that will perfectly fill my mags a couple times), to help support the cause.

Was only making a note of that Bass Pro. As one who just loves a retail Cablea's, people just might like to check that out. Anyway I will absolutely be buying from the shoot shop, to use with those that are willing to share with me, but since you really don't know who or what, there is no way to know the ammo needs in advance.

getting Magtech ammo (Brazilian company who gets generally good reviews on most forums i've read. a couple folk reported some hard primers some time back that failed to fire... but all other posts i read were positive.

the 9mm is their "Sport Shooting Full Metal Jacket" with 115 grains of propellant. rated at 1135 fps

hmm... think the 115 grain will cycle reliably?

Cheapest 9mm will be 115gr. Currently my fav 9mm is Fiochi 158gr. Subsonic, excellent for quiet time.

            Posted that before I saw:

Yes. I've run many thousands of rounds of 115gr 9mm through M-11/9 and Uzi SMGs, and a few through Sterlings to boot. Usually no probs. Best subgun ammo is +P+. If anyone will have a 9mm SMG I have a few hundred rounds of +P+ from the last match I shot in, wouldn't mine sharing for some trigger time. No, sadly I don't have a subgun anymore, and have to beg/borrow for any matches. I will have my SBR Uzi with me though.

if all goes well, the Shoot Shop will have on-hand...

... i plan on the Shoot Shop making these available in easy-to-move amounts that rely on $5 bills only.

that first block of ammo (the pistols and the 5.56) will be "five will get you ten" (50 cents a round)

the second group there (the .308, the Soviet, and the shotgun shells) cost me a little more so they will be a six-pack for half a sawbuck (about 83 cents a round)

the .22 is coming in packs of 50 and i don't plan on breaking them up... just a 50-pack for five bucks and done. (about 10 cents around)

So, not the most amazing screaming deals in the world (you could likely do a little better for yourself if you find a Wal-Mart or some bulk-buy sporting goods place like Cabela's) but i wanted to make it not assrape for anyone who wants to buy ammo at the site itself.

i basically broke the bank getting what i go, so i'm sorry if we run out of anything but i couldn't manage to obtain more right now... get in line early, i guess. the Shoot Shop should be set up early, so sales can start at 09:00 when people arrive and are getting settled. NOTE - like the shooting lanes and the chill tent, the Shoot Shop is an amenity only for registered and badged attendees.

hmm... i am hoping that this doesn't cross the line into being a commercial post. while it does clearly mention things in a retail context, the focus is not on items being sold right now, but rather things that are going to be sold at some future time and place. also, the main reason i wanted to post this was to let people explicitly know the cost-per-round if they are getting ammo at the shoot, so that they can better judge whether it's worth it to them to obtain their own ammo elsewhere beforehand. i just want people to have a good time and not feel squeezed for money.

                  Re: Ammo!

FYI, I'll have 1k of 147gr brass cased 9mm that I plan on letting people buy to shoot the mac-10 (I'll need ~500 of it for me though), I could probably sell a few hundred for your own lane use too depending on how much ammo I go through.

My prices will probably be on par with the shoot shop because shipping for my stuff was $60, plus I don't want to compete with the shoot shack and undercut them.

I might even take bitcoins, but we wont have connectivity so i'm not sure that will work well.

My ammo made it, but when i called ahead for the address they didnt tell me the hotel charges a handling fee for inbound packages. Counting that it cost $80 to ship, damn
