As far as "puter" movies go there is fiction and then there are documentarys, "hackers" the movie was made to show the planet this awww inspiring world, which it did to almost a frightening extent it created people like the buncha people that are in yahoo's hacker lounge most the time, that was fiction. Documenterys like freedom downtime and others such as the short lil defcon movie shows the real lives of these people that have been type cast as "hackers", defcon is a good example, you dont see "hackers" lining the walls waiting to destroy the world, you only see people trying to further their intelligence, something that to this day is missing from schools (at least mine)

    "STUMBLING TO THEATERS THIS SUMMER"

    "WARDRIVERS"

"All your wireless fideltity is belong to them"

    ps pardon the spelling.

I need to go and rent some hacker movies. The only ones I have seen were Sneakers and Hackers.

You can all collectively cringe over what is in the pipeline....

Luc Besson, writer and director of The 5th Element, has teamed up with a core of three writers for the project WW3.com. The story revolves around Internet terrorists who plan to hack into all the major computer systems that run the world. With the crashing of the systems, the world would turn to chaos, thus creating World War III. This movie blurs the line between the virtual world and reality. Fox is the studio behind the project with the idea based on an article in Wired magazine by John Carlin.

These people must have been drinking alot when they thought of this. What would be any motive for people to do that and create ww3. anyways i hope they atleast call them crackers not hackers.
