I think we should meet at the pool, and then everybody could kind of migrate to the room. The room idea would be nice, I've seen some pics of the rooms there(haven't ventured in one yet) and they look pretty sweet.

question is, how is the air cond. in the rooms? ......:D

It would be kool to meet at a room/restruant so that we can all be in one centalized place.....cause it is so hard to find people at the con.

well most people just want to meet up, drink and chat until the morning hits which kicks off defcon.... I don't think people would be willing to venture off the property since some people will still be unpacking, or getting their stuff ready for something or another.... a room would be more suitable for a party of sorts. :)

the air in my room last year was terrible. but hopefully I was just in a bad room.

A room has merit, (nice and cool, plenty of places to keep the booze cold), but outside is nice as well (less smoke, less crowded, easier to find).

Why not keeping it by the pool like last year? After all who want to wait alone near a room... Anyway most of us know watch eatch other look like... How is it so hard to find ppl by the pool?

Air conditioners:
Mine was great of you happened to be about three feet from it. Other than that the only satisfaction was standing naked in front of a window with a little breeze.

People by the pool:
That was our original meet place last year however there were about a hundred people by the pool. Maybe whoever gets there first can reserve about a dozen chairs for the rest of us, and we can have an FRS channel to meet on in case we have questions about just where the meet is.

Meeting places:
The pool, the lobby, the bar (yes!), maybe pool #2 or #3 would be a better place?

Pool 2 is not bad.. right in the middle of things. The bar is a good idea too, but I don't want to break my wallet the first night! :D

yes this year more people are familiar with other people, we can just keep it simple and leave it at the first pool like last year... you never know someone may think they want to meet you, until they see you irl.. then they are free to run away without finding the need to scream at the same time... :)

The bar....hmmm, they don't let minors there do they..? Well...*cough*cough*....looks like some of the members wouldn't be able to make it....like say....TwinVega....but on a more serious note, we should meet at a certain time near the pool and then move to the room, because most likely nobody will know the room location until the day of the meet.

I may or may not be of legal age but was never carded or asked my age once at the bar :D ....i ended up spending way too much omney there....damn those drinks with 3 shots of vodka and some redbull are good!

I agree. This would seem to be the best plan.
