Also consider whose name is listed as being responsible for the room (the person paying for it). Does that person REALLY trust all these people? Are they all people that can keep a low profile, not trash the room, not draw attention? If you trash the room, you're getting thrown out. If you get caught having that many people staying there, you're getting thrown out. You WILL be charged for the remainder of your reserved days. You WILL be charged for any damages incurred. so say i let them crash there at night, and kick them all out during the day, i could probably pull that off. i dont see how they cold enforce the rules too deeply, as in reality, the whole event is kind of a 24 hr party. are there different exceptions if its a suite, and not a standard room?

All the rooms are suites. In most rooms, they charge for extra people beyond 2, except in the largest rooms. Even in those, they still have limits as to how many extra occupants they will allow.
We all know that there is a difference between what is allowed and what is done. The question is what are you willing to risk? The penalty is being thrown out, and forfeiting your deposit. Depending on how long you had planned to stay, and at what point you get caught, as well as whether or not there are any damages, that could be a very significant amount of cash... not to mention the money you'll then need to shell out on a new room, which will be nowhere near the AP, and will likely be much harder to sneak a large crowd into.the fresh princess of 1338

For my first few years at defcon I had three people besides myself share a room without any extra cost. Would ask for four keys without a problem. And when I started getting the loft suite, it was just me and my t-shirt girls, and i still got extra keys for friends without a problem.
And what are you talking about maid service for? :) The only time you ever get maid service is if you specifically request it. At least that has always been the case for me..: Grifter :.

As for maid service... they don't come banging on your door at 8 a.m.? WTF?!?! If I forget to put the DND sign up, they are in my room before I can unstick my tongue from the roof of my mouth and yell "GO AWAY!"the fresh princess of 1338

I remember an attendee being thrown off the property a couple of years ago. The conversation went something like this:
Hotel Security: "OK, you're banned from Alexis Park property. Let's go."
Attendee (smugly): "But you can't throw me out! I've got a room here!"
Hotel Security: "What's your room number?"
Attendee (figuring he's won): "2345!"
Hotel Security: "OK, well, we'll swing by and let you get your stuff on the way out, then you're banned from hotel property."
Attendee (perplexed): "Guh... Guh... Guh..."
Oh, and if you *do* get banned, it means exactly what it suggests. You may not return to AP property, ever. If you do, the hotel will hand you over to Vegas Metro, one of America's Least Cordial Police Departments. And you probably don't want that.

True...
My point was just that once the AP kicks you out, you don't get back in, so try to avoid that scenario in the first place :) FWIW, though, they have terminated room contracts before for overcapacity, at which point you're about equally screwed as if you were setting fire to things.
