if i can get some transponders i'll be able to figure out how to get the software on a laptop. they came out before 802 was big (aka cheap) so i still stick by my theory that it's more like a mobil speed pass on steroids.

Mobil gives you $1 CASH to apply for a speedpass. I have like 30 of them now...

have you opened one? it's pretty cool. i could have a piercer put the transmitter in your hand for less than $20.
the only problem is the glass cell it comes inn might break if hit, and out of the glass it might break easier.

i'm pretty sure that i duplicate (build) a speed pass for $300, plus $80 per additional unit. of course it wont be nearly as small...

i think i could clone a fastrak for $400-$500, + 100 per additional unit. again, not as small and sleek as the original....

all prices are my HIGHEST estimates....
i could probably do it for alot less, but no guarantees...

most of the initial cost is for one time purchacing of some radio hardware i don't have but would need. after that i would need several components to build each one.

hmmm... can't you just call up fastrack and let them know you want to reverse engineer their product for educational purposes, and the advancement of a higher lifeforms?... maybe not use reverse engineer (that isn't a good word to use in lieu of all the laws)... but perhaps "engineering reversed" instead? ;) :D

theis logic goes back to one of the rules we all follow as children; if you don't ask, you can't be told no.
i don't want to call and then be informed that they have taken my name, recorded the call for quality insurance purposes, and will take legal action if i pursue in my endevor.
it's like a blockbuster card, it's not yours, its theirs. and you cant tamper with it and they can take it back anytime (request it back)

It never hurts in asking (from a pay phone)...
hmmmm... do you know where a nearby facility may be... could be a night of dumpster diving (of course abiding all local, state and federal laws).
