  • B&W ball Any Feedback?

I was curious as to what you guys thought of the B&W ball ?
Were trying to improve the format but we need your feedback !
Also DJ's in the lounge room( athena room ) on friday we liked them. Did you guys?

(( please don't make this thread a bitch session. We really work hard to produce a quality show for you guys ))

    thanks for your input !!

Dance music isn't my thing, so i won't comment on that except to say that DJ Jackalope kicked ass (as expected).

The floor show was quite a sight to see this year, too.

Good job guys, though the strobes gave me a headache after a few minutes.

It was alright, gave the Con'ies a reason to dress up (nice outfit jesse "It's JESSE FROM THE FORMS!!!!", "No im not!!! Shut up!!!"). But one note, if it's ganna be a sit in /w mix of dancing, brighten up a bit, and turn down the tunes. People were like "WHAT!! HUH? HANG ON LETS TALK OUTSIDE" and that's, well, oposite of what you were going for.

I AM into tec music, and enjoyed it, so no complaints there. Good lineup!

What's with the 'on too much acid, so my hands will be waving slowly, cause I'm listen to Indust Goth, but it's really trace playin right now' people? Everyone can dance how they like (I suck, but still dance) but is this form of dancing still "IN"?

yeah i got a little crazy w/ the strobes. sorry about that , even my eyes are still fucked up a bit from them , next year we might point them up and colour them so that the don't become such a headache for every one .
        Tnx for the input !

yes it was loud in there trust me i had to be in there the entire time ( wipes blood from ears) i did lean over the the sound tech and asked if it could be turned down a notch but it really didnt help . would ambient lighting help as far as the sit in is concerned , maybe some kind of pattern on the walls perhaps ?

Dude you got me ive been working this event for four years , and i have been working the rave/club scene for almost 10 years it takes all kinds of people to fill a dance floor , my thought is simple , is that person having fun , and if so leave them alone.we all look like retards on the dance floor so enjoy it.. thanks for the reply !!

The industrial band (Idiot Stare) was incredible.

And I'm not just saying that because they gave me a tshirt with zeros and ones on it (even if the tshirt didn't really say anything in binary). :p

I was surprised at how good all the music was.. but yeah, it was really, really loud. And there were no ashtrays. We actually asked one of the Goons if it was okay to smoke, and he said "probably, but there's no ashtrays, so I dunno." Oh well, beer cans worked.

The ancient security guard guy seemed to really enjoy all the girls' outfits. ;)

              mad props

Hey there short note this time, more later:

but wanted to comment and the awesome job sound and lights were...those were some of the best light programs I've seen in a while, I really liked the cool bubble effects on those...and wow those bright bight white strobes were from hell, I dug on those, but really really too bright :)

Mostly appreciated was the cd of my set I am listening to now, that is one of the kindest things a promotion crew can do for a dj/livePA, etc. Its just amazing to play a set and have a cd of it.

more later, I'm at work trying to remember whatever it was that I was supposed to do.

                FUCK YEAH

B&W fuckin rocked, the band was really good, I am into the whole emocore/hardcore thing.

When the electronic music started, thats when it really began to rock. The first dj was badass, then the 2 experimental/idm guys came on, fuck, I loved them, I am looking for more music from them as I type this. AND THEN JACKALOPE! She tore shit up, that was one of the best fuckin sets I have heard in a while! I danced all night, I probably looked like an idiot, but oh well. For any of you wondering who I was, if you saw the raver kid with the orance glow sticks, yeah that was me. I kept dropping them, prolly cuz i was drunk as shit, but oh well!

The light show kicked ass, fuck yeah, I loved it, no complaints!

were debating on getting a CD duplicator and selling the sets DURING the show next year , but of course you ( the DJ's ) will get your free copy as always , cus you guys make the show happen , its a small token of out gratitude .

I didn enjoy it. I didn't dress up though. I was the kid standing on the side with long shaggy hair and jeans and a t-shirt and a shoulder bag. lol. It was a new experience, as i had never danced to that type of music before, so i kind of just stood there and listened on the side, and after a while this hot girl came up and made me dance with her, which was cool. I think i scared her with my dancing though. lol. but all in all. i had fun. good show :).
