White is a color. In fact it is the presence of all colors.

It depends. If you are talking pigmentation, white is the absense of all visible colors, while if you are talking light it is the presence of all visible colors.

                  Is Clear a color?
                  color depends upon context

Not really. Pigmentation depends on melanin which is dependant upon the amount of exposure to the sun.

Early paint and dye were derived from living matter such as plants, bugs, and sometimes higher ordered creatures. As a result, pigment has been used to refer to coloring agents even though many paints are now created artificially much like "olis" is used to refer to oil-based paints.
