they are coming out with Matrix Comic Books
i hope hey turn out alright
The comic books are available online as PDF's at http://whatisthematrix.warnerbros.co...ix_index2.html , they are good for some downtime at work if you get bored.

Even though many of you did'nt care for it, I'm pretty sure there's going to be a matrix marathon on the Defcon movie channel this year regardless.

IMAX was only $2.50 more so I went for it. That is one HELLUVA screen!

Question: What was above the door when Neo and the Oracle were talking in the kitchen? I could not read it clearly in the film.

      Opinions:

I thought the Trainman was going to have more of a part. I want to know why they guy wore so many watches. Maybe one for each matrix he runs through? The mind can run wild here.

The Frenchman had a bit part this time, I think he could have done more and had more input to what the matrix is. Pull him out of his pod and see what happens.

I saw Saraph (Serif?) with the agents but later he was okay, how did he get away, or did he make a deal to turn in the Oracle, maybe he is a bad guy and they had a conference in there.

The soundtrack ROCKS. I hope they have the same music on the CD. That Norse type Vallhalla music, whew! Gimme more!

I do not understand how Neo and Smith can hit head on at those high speeds and be fine, yet a simple punch in the mouth brings blood.

Anyone remember in the first matrix where the cops surrounded Trinity, then Agent Smith told the sergeant cop that his mean were dead already? Well why didn't those cops turn into agents? Same with the security guards in the building they enter?

Now to sit down and Watch Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure.

Yo, isn't it "Know Thyself?" if i remember right?

And if you wanna be freaked out, skip the Bill and Ted's and go straight for My Own Private Idaho.

I finally saw Matrix 3 last night, i dug on the Oracle / Smith thing. The trainman thing was wasted that could've gotten really weird. Merv the head guy was pretty good, dug on his wife's costume in the club.

I think it was the best movie of the three. I liked all the movies for different reasons. I'll get back to you after i've seen it a couple of times.

          These reviews rule:

          http://maddox.xmission.com/c.cgi?u=matrix2

          http://maddox.xmission.com/c.cgi?u=matrix3

I should point out that I liked Reloaded (the first review) but that review is priceless regardless of what you thought of the movie. The review for Revolutions is spiffy too.

I am glad that I read this thread before I saw the movie. After seeing Matrix Reloaded, I was very dissapointed. This thread prepaired me for what I call " Reloaded II".
I went to the Grand Opening of the only local theater last night, with my wife and children, to see Matrix Revolutions. My view on it...
It wasnt a bad movie, as long as you think of it as a continuation of Reloaded. The fight scenes went on a bit too long for my taste, but the computer graphics were great.
I feel like The Matrix was an awsome move. The concept behind The Matrix was, in my opinion, a high tech way of describing life.
Society today is very similar to the Martix story line.

            Thanks for the accurate reviews.

I just finished reading "the Da Vinci code" and if one was to pick apart the matrix plot, theme and charaters names it all has to do with religion. I mean the guy that tryed to kill Neo was named Cain I believe, anyone that is familar with the cain and abel story should know that one.

Actually it was Bane, but even then there's some level of theology present (or at least word play)

Most major world theologies are represented in the movies. It's quite fun to pick them out as you go.

Put me in the "it was stinky" camp. The plot was "My Dinner with Andre" with a CGI battle in the middle. Our explanation for any funky shit in "Reloaded" was essentially that it's magic (that, or the world of the future has ubiquitous brain-wave networking. No need to jack in--the Matrix is now wireless!). Neo and Trinity continued to have all the chemistry of wet, used toilet paper. Yeck.

This is the point at which I had TRON flashbacks. "Greetings, program!" I didn't think of the MCP angle near the end, though.

Fine - but the only way it should be on Defcon Movie Night is if they pass out drinking game rules at the same time.

A Matrix drinking game is an excellent idea, although I'm sure there will be a Matrix edition Trivial Pursuit
