Are you planning on doing this or no? If not, I'll make a run of shirts, but if someone else is doing it, I'm not going to.

I don't have an investment in doing this alone. I have never had shirts printed before, nor have I fully investigated the pricing. I am happy to help in any way that I can if you want to take this on. LMK what, if anything, I can do to help.

Whoever wants to run with this is welcome to. I would personally like to see all profit (specified, money over cost of shirts, printing, and shipping for the batch) put right into food/drinks/etc.... or used to sponsor another defcon event.

Usually with shirts, $x is put out for the entire batch. $x should be fully recouped by the person sticking there neck out to do it whether they sell all shirts or not.. everything else goes to formentioned good defcon cause. If you want to make money in the vendor area on your own design/time, thats fine, but not involved with the event. otherwise the bad capitolistic karma will be on your ass and not mine ;)
if it gets me nowhere, I'll go there proud; and I'm gonna go there free.

I think he was much more concerned about breaking even then gaining profit.

No one wants to make a run of shirts and have to eat half of them because people didn't want to buy.

We can always commit to buying in advance, that can offset the count.

Exactly. I don't mind laying out some cash, but I don't need 13 Toxic BBQ shirts for myself. All extra will be gleefully donated to the BBQ fund for food/booze/etc.

I asked about interest for shirts on this very thread and only got two responses. I just want to get the ball rolling on this if there is interest. If there is, I can put something on my web page for people to put their name on a list to get one, make suggestions for logo/slogan, etc.

So if you want one, SPEAK UP (Renderman and Highwiz exempted), or there may not be a shirt to be had.

Anyone else afraid we're going to get like 20 lbs of hamburger and nothing else? ....meatatarians unite....

I dunno what the price of these shirts is running, but I'd like one for myself... if you were to make just a few(or one for me*shrug*) out of babydolls(girls shirts) that would be delightful. I love the shirts, but I'd prefer to look attractive in them :D Just an idea
Oh yeah, I don't know what I can contribute to the BBQ but I'm willing if anyone wants to get back to me. hamburger? hot dogs? steak? let me know :p

Oh, babydoll tees are a good idea. I wounder thou if there would be enough of a demand to have some made.

Tell that to the guy kicking himself for not making enough "Baby Gap" shirts for infants. You never know what will be the big seller.

At the Unamerican guy "Shreenie" with those stickers and buttons, guess he got deported?

I can understand that, but it would still be a good idea to print a few for us females. Even though we are few and far. Or make some smaller sized mens shirts, that would work too.
