On the topic of the un-possibility of me failing english, the book ''Eats. Shoots and Leaves'' has to be the most interesting book on punctuation I have ever read.

Thanks for pointing out the erroneous nature of my lazy typing grammar. Has anyone noticed the differences between the american and Irish spelling of some words?

I can help you on your way if you really want to learn this. You can start with discrete mathematetic, and the mathematican William Chen has published a fully version of some of his books here

      http://www.maths.mq.edu.au/~wchen/ln.html

In fact, they are very good. When you have gone through his Discrete Mathematics book, I am sure you will understand the answers you got here.
If you are in need for basic, you will also find books about that
When people call me normal I know it's time to seek mental help

If someone doesn't understand some basic math/number skills, I wouldn't point them towards discrete to start with. You might as well tell them to start with eplison-delta proofs. Learn basic skills first, then go on.

I understand why you were suggesting he start there, I just looked at some of those notes- pretty well written stuff, however, I fear that a more basic starting point may be necessary here. (Trying to be PC about this answer.)

Yepp. I know - that is why I mentioned that he also had basic books.. The "Elementhary mathematic" is very fundamental, and it cover parts of the primary school curriculum here in my country .

Binaries are math, and I am not so sure there are any easier way to learn them than going "the hard way".

You obviously didn't read my response to this whole situation earlier.

Binary is a number system, a base. In general terms, math is language. But we won't get into that here...

All your number base are belong to us.

Sorry to bring this thread back to life..

..but a quote from Family Guy tonight just seemed like it needed to be posted here

"Math is nothing more than the lesbian sister of biology"
