I would suggest you sit down and talk with your parents about why they feel the need to put a password program on the computer. Maybe they have some concerns, and if you address them they may be willing to give you a little more freedom with the computer.
I return whatever i wish . Its called FREEDOWM OF RANDOMNESS IN A HECK . CLUSTERED DEFEATED CORn FORUM . Welcome to me

sounds like they enabled the bios password for bootup. Without that the comp is nothing more than an expensive doorstop. (there ARE ways around it, but ... :-p, you can figure that out yourself)
but, as noid said, I'd just talk to them ... maybe they found traces of pron access? or some othe nefarious thing?www.quakecon.org

Goodluck,
P.s. Most parents will allow you to use the computer if you ask nicely, unless its "daddys work computer"-- dev_zero@

If there is another box that pops up after the bios loads but before the Windows logon, hmmm maybe another security level I am unaware of, but you can always choose to load one item at a time on boot and maybe get around the program that way.
My guess is that he will seriously break something before he gets around something.
