At least you bathe, this year I'm thinking about advertising InfoSec News on those little sample sized bars of soap.

Jeezus, I wish the unwashed masses would realize they're with 5000+ others in the desert for 3+ days, by Saturday night that whole crowd gets pretty gamey.

Isn't that a good enough reason to push a person into a pool? (Not Pool 3, though. That might be considered cruel and unusual.)

As for myself, I have had my own difficulties with the Alexis Park, but they do let us get away with quite a lot...

Gamey was being kind. I was lighting bundles of nag champa outside my room next to pool2 just to try to hide the smells. So my bad for mixing the nag with the sweat and making ode de hippy; although we lacked the patchouli layer.

        heh patchouli layer...

Nope.. that would have been more mass confusion that father's day at a trailor park.
I'm refering to Octalcon and Krautcon.. (yes, I know.. over kill on the con thing.. Makeresh and the German place up the street, for refrence)

            Did Everquest teach you that?

Does anyone have any REAL idea of where it will be held this year? Thankfully I looked back at this seeing as how I was just about to make hotel reservations...
DT get to work.. or start asking for more help.. mot like it would make a difference in the mass confusion that is Defcon.
If I agreed with you... we'd both be wrong...

Defcon is not "mass confusion". All of the organizers do a very good job of transforming what might otherwise be a mess into a surprisingly fun event. Most of us appreciate that hard work (and reward them with beer ).

Your post may have been meant in jest, but calm down. The new year hasn't even arrived, and you are worried about hotel reservations. I am confident that Dark Tangent and crew will do their best to put on something special for the rest of us. When their plans start to congeal, I'm sure you will find out.

Not anyone lower on the food chain, just annoying people. See, I am an annoying asshole, so I know my kind, and you are definitely my kinda person.

But yes, it does help make me feel high and mighty. Cause I'm all about lowering peoples self-esteem any chance I get.

So I have finally be put into some pointless catragory? Ohhh JOY...
Now i'm a part of something.. or not...

Thank you for admitting(for what its worth) that putting others down makes you feel good about yourself.. hobbies are good things to have..

But I do appriecate being called an "annoying asshole" seeing as it could be stated about virtually everyone in one way shape or form.

But thank you for including me in your "annoying assholes group"
                        Much thanks infact!

At the closing ceremonies last year, DT stated that Defcon would be at the AP next year. Nothing else has been posted to the contrary, so it would stand to reason that it will be at the AP unless something drastic changes. If it does, I'm sure it will be announced well in advance.

Besides, the AP needs the charged money from Defcon 13 damages to continue work on the new casino.

I think that those charges really will be going to repair damages considering defcon attendees go for quantity as well as quality in their revelry.

Whatever they are paying to have portions of the hotel torn down is a waste. They could have waited until the day after Defcon and swept out the ashes. :>
