"Fit in" by being yourself. Lurk for a while and contribute when you have something meaningful to contribute. I don't know much at all about coding, so I generally stay out of those discussions. However, I do have other areas of knowledge where I do try to contribute.

That being said, this forum is filled with some very intelligent people in a wide variety of computer fields. I don't know for sure but I'd bet there are forum regulars from the teens to retired. There really should be no desire to impress anyone (once you get out of 9th or 10th grade you'll realize that). Your goal should be to soak up as much as you can.

astcell: My sister has a Mac (A G4 Cube) computer which i use more than her and in my opinion the Mac os 9.0 is a hell of alot better than windows xp. The only reason i use windows is because the majority of the online downloads are for windows and even some webpages dont open with a mac operating system. Also have used and seen Linux before but dont use it but i liked the interface and would like to start useing it.

So do you only code in BASIC or do you code in other languages too?

And I hope your survery program isn't stolen too. If you start off using someone elses code you should site their work in a comment in your code. Remember, that people who frequent these forums have good google-fu.

Futhermore, "LinuxLover" really shouldn't be your handle if you've never actually used Linux. That would be like me having the handle 'VaginaLover"... Unless you were attempting to go for a bit of irony (yea, real irony, not like rain on your wedding day), but I doubt it.

Going with the mating theme, if he was a heavy-set kid, and was on top, he could "impress" himself just as easily.

Well, I like the name LinuxLover anyways and i have used Linux before just not extensivly so i may not know alot about it but when i used it i liked it better than windows... Also, Here is my survey program. I just wanna say that i did not copy any of this code and it is all from my brain. Also in a later version i am doing, i will add many other commands to choice from...I was accually going to put one of the extra commands already, but did not know how to do it yet, But i will learn. The command was you could press escape anytime during the program to exit the program but i was not able to firgure out how to... So heres the very simple but a break though for me "Survey" Program.

This is LinuxLover... CotMan your an ass because i have no idea where you got that lesson but the program that i posted is all mine no one elses and i dont give a crap if you think i did copy it. I used no refernce from any site or book and i DID NOT COPY IT THEN MODIFY IT! I learned my lesson the first time...! So ban me again i dont care cause i know that i didnt copy it. It came from me! I got the idea from some one else's a book that I was reading but by no means did i copy it! I simply took the idea and made my own! So go to hell CotMan and thnx for making me feel like an ass.
