Do not anger Pumpkin Man!! Pumpkin Man demands a 12 foot tall inflatable woman as tribute this year!
Being medicated has its benefits, but appearently also its downsides... I just had a vision on the internal 42" screen, of a 12 foot inflatable pool2girl .
Now excuse me while I go and bleach out my eyeballs.

He may be keeping an eye on my house over Holloween.. just as a heads up. he went missing for a while and I want to make sure he doesn't have any extra holes (as it were)
If I had a nickle for every time someone offered me ten cents to keep my two cents to myself... I would be a rich man.
Yes, everyone should just get drunk and start walking back to the AP by the hundreds....I would love to see the look on the concierge's face :)
At close to 3 miles such a march would need to happen at night, or else the heat may pose a problem, but not the only problem...
Think about all the AccessPoints that might be found? And Liquor Stores? And "nudie bars"? and Casinos? Bathrooms?
If you started out with 800 people marching, maybe 6 would arrive, and of those, 3 would be at the front desk with what they think are genuine complaints about lost reservations, 2 would be looking for the bathroom and 1 would not be able to find a bathroom, but manage to find relief.

Not to mention the 50 people who after Def Con, have to fight with the CC companies and A.P.'s finance department, to have the room repair charges returned...

At DC13 Eli and I stumbled from the AP to the Westward Ho on Tuesday night.
Funny, I can't remember it taking very long...
3 miles can be done in less than an hour when sober. Traveling in Las Vegas on foot at night is not too bad. During the day, it it more difficult.
The point I was trying to make is that it would be difficult to get a large number of DefCon people to march and keep their attention focused and drive engaged for something like this. There are plenty of things to encounter while walking the distance that might be considered more enjoyable.
Sample conversation:
(Walking out the door ot the Riviera)
"Yeah! This is going to be fun. The AP will be a fun visit."
(5 minutes later)
"Why are we doing this again?"
(5 Minutes later)
"Oooo! Look! A(n) [electronics store|Liquor Store|nudie bar|bar|book store|*]!"
(Time passes. Walking back to the Riviera from the .* store.)
"I'm glad we decided to go to that .* store."
I was at the Riviera earlier this year visiting some friends who were attending the American Council of the Blind convention, and my guess is that things will work out just fine.
Granted, the Defcon crowd is generally younger, rowdier, and doesn't have the problem of bumping into others while traversing the hallways, but hopefully things will work out this year. I can't wait to have a talk in front of 1500 people :)

So are you saying DefCon attendees do not have the fortitude or conviction necessary to complete this trip not to mention the attention span of a child.

Constant re-evaluation of circumstances:
"Is this as much fun as that alternative?"
