Teams: You may have as many people on your team as you like. You *must* make your intent to enter via email (and you may post here as well, we prefer both)-
Send email to LNDC14sub[at]LostboY.net with a list of your team members, a team name, and your official intent to enter.
So what is this thing anyway then? I'll tell you. Just not right now. Actually not until the day the sub-challenge starts, which will be the first day of CON.
Hints? Yes. They will be here, given on Neural's site, and various other ways.
How to make a successful team? The following 'skills' should be represented as best as possible on your team:
*someone who can read a datasheet/schematic
*someone who understands the *basic* principles of a breadboard
*someone with lockpicking/opening/literal hacking skills
*puzzle/problem solver
*BASIC knowledge of coding
*RS232- have you used hyperterm? Ok, you qualify. TCP/IP- If you know what an RJ45 is you qualify.
*And of course: embedded devices? Know what they are? Wonderful. By nary the way you are almost finished.
Please only those serious about entering- however I would encourage people to get teams together for this- it will be designed to NOT TAKE ALL OF YOUR TIME AT CON. It will be POSSIBLE. It will be more than possible for people even with BASIC SKILLS, however it may take longer than those teams with experience in the areas mentioned above. Hints have already been given here.
Come on, this mini-at con challenge will rock.
