The following torrents have been added to http://torrents.lostboxen.net -

          http://torrents.lostboxen.net/defcon....12.09.torrent - DC12 audio
          http://torrents.lostboxen.net/defcon....12.09.torrent - DC12 video
          http://torrents.lostboxen.net/defcon....12.09.torrent - DC12 music

Defcon 14 Audio Content is definately not up for the grabbing. I fixed my pull script (an issue previously visited but I copied the unfixed script for the new pull), but all audio requests return 404. Verified by duplicating through the RSS feed.

Major kudos to Mr The Tangent himself. Not only am I amazed at the turnaround on his releasing such recent content at such a quick mark, but IT IS 100% COMPLETE (to my knowledge). 10GB of pure Defcon 14 goodness. Enjoy.

More content to follow as it becomes available.

looks like that related content which i was uploading to you completed. check the SFV and let me know if anything didn't come through. (i did half from my work and half from my home, so i'm not 100% certain that the ID3 tags were identical on those MP3s... might generate a mismatch because of that)
"I'll admit I had an OiNK account and frequented it quite often… What made OiNK a great place was that it was like the world's greatest record store… iTunes kind of feels like Sam Goody to me. I don't feel cool when I go there. I'm tired of seeing John Mayer's face pop up. I feel like I'm being hustled when I visit there, and I don't think their product is that great. DRM, low bit rate, etc... OiNK it existed because it filled a void of what people want."

                  Deviant:

At quick glance it looks good to me, but I'll run through unifying it later today. The only quick of-note is that there lacks an mp3 for the Phil Zimmerman Turbo talk. This was slightly awkward on the video side because every talk received relatively accurate sequence except Joe Grand and Phil Zimmerman, who were both tagged as V1 .. with 0 gaps upwards to the Awards Ceremony.

Solution? Count from 00!! And of course, since Joe Grand is way more cool than some guy that wrote PGP back in the day, he gets the pilot spot in my books :p

To clarify, the V01, V whatever, Is not a sequence thing, some will be out of order, some will be missing, some will both be labeled V54. This is an organizational system used here simply because the original tapes the video is on happens to have that number on the label from Tsok. I have started re-numbering tapes for some older footage we are updating, for my benefit, the V +# is simply a way for me to find the original tape as quickly as possible. There are many reasons why a talk may not be there, why a tape number is skipped and why two talks have the same number. Sometimes, two speakers are recorded on the same video portion, sometimes the tape quality is just so old or more to the point the audio/video quality sucks, that it is not worth the headache putting up, and sometimes, we cant find people in the archives. Now that I am here and its a major portion of my day to day grind, the video system is and will continue to get better, especially since we have dvds issued to us now. but considering there are hundreds of vhs tapes laying around to stub my toes on, its really easier to use the tape number as my catalog system. So that is the mystery and the confusion behind the V# issue.

                        Some updates:

Nikita has hunted down two errors in the audio and video rss files, and the audio is now uploaded.

                        Please play and test.

Nikita is splitting out the Joe Grand and Phil Zimmermann audio / video as well.

PS: The new media server finally arrived! Woo!

Unfortunately the corrected RSS feeds are not online, so if you encounter errors, I'm terribly sorry. It will be back online later today.

As for The Grand-Zimmerman conflict of '06.
There will be no Zimmerman Video as there is none.
Joe Grand will be split into his own happy video clip asap, we are just working out some encoding kinks over here. In the meantime you will have to fast forward until it gets to his presentation.

The Audio is corrected and split for them both. The file name for both will still begin with V1.

BH 2006 is being uploaded as I type this.

I'm just checking everything over before adding DC 14 to iTunes store and making a more public announcement.

I had to wack the DC-7 content off line to make room, but with the new media server here there will be more than enough space for all the content we can think of.
