    Sure, but, out of the box, most people will not be able to play the content without a signficant time investment (unless they are already familiar with the software or you provide instructions). Why not include something like VLC which is free, will play the content, and, I believe, can run without installation (i.e., as-is on disk).

    Or are you concerned with some aspect of placing executable code in the package?

        i'll likely stick VLC and MediaPlayerClassic on there, as well. jeez... hard to imagine people in this world who still can't play XviD files. are they living under rocks?

                    Let's see:

                    1. I've never been to one.
                    2. I was supposed to go last year.
                    3. I'm Pres of LSI and we're having a booth in the LP village. (Come say hi.)
                    4. Chance to pick locks with a lot of people.
                    5. I wanted to meet some of the good folk I've been chatting with online for the past THREE years, although I'll probably meet the other kind as well.
                    6. It's my opportunity to network with other people planning to take over the world.
                    7. I will learn something new.
                    Picking locks since '96.
