to me, and no on knows who the hell i am LOL, I think that players vs prom is too much alike. both are tacky dresses and suits..

what about trashy prom & Kink fest (your best bdsm/leather/fetish wear)? all we would need are some nifty props!! for you player lovers you could still get away with that for the prom. I know at my prom we had several pimp and ho wannabes attend. It is more opposite mundane/daytime personality vs secret/nightlife/bedroom personality... and we could get Jackalope in some dominatrix gettup!!!

It hasnt been posted yet, and its been done before at clubs. How about a Playboy Mansion style party, silk robes, pajamas, lingerie. Ive seen some of the attire people have brought in the past, and can only imagine what people would show up wearing.

But as to new ideas for the B&W, Im all for mixing things up with a new theme.

on a side note... when did the airlines stop the complimentary lei's for people arriving in Honolulu? i was totally expecting one (and you wouldn't believe the number of "are you going to get lei'd on the plane" jokes i heard before flying out)

Not sure what the two themes will be, but I'm guessing DJ Jackalope is into her Japanese School Girl outfit because of her rocking social engineering at Katsucon a couple weeks ago!

DT I was the one wearing the .jp school uniform at katsucon a few months ago. Just as a general warning I will not be wearing a school girl uniform this year.

There is an artist that works with Greensector events that produces some absolutely incredible large scale installations that I think would be perfect for the b&w ball. He can create custom designs for any environment and his style would so be fitting at defcon!

OMG YES. I would really really like to see those up in person. WOW. Well anyway that's my .02, you get my vote. The hotel decor is definitely tres boring and in need of a splash of color.

yah his works are amazing! we were going to bring this 'recognizer' from Tron ( http://tinyurl.com/4a3dom ) last year to defcon but the people that owned the warehouse where it was stored for new years decided it would be fun to throw it off the roof... grrrrr!!!!
