I feel it's appropriate to insert my random bullshit at this time.
Forums seem to be a waste of time lately, seeming that there are so many new people there are a lot of posts to choose from, and not very many have anything intelligent or remotely funny to say. I still check back a couple times a week for the posts that aren't nonsense and try not to post until I find a good opportunity, so my post count shouldn't be going up very fast in the near future.

I edited this post because it was a good thread and I don't want to just add to the corruption even more by attempting to explain my post in yet another post. Anyway, it was mentioned that I was passed up by HW, I was just saying why I wasn't posting as often, and it just seems pointless to me to try and flame every moron like I've previously done because they just keep coming, the post above is pretty much a rant anyway and I guess it shouldn't have been posted here.

All it takes are a few people to get together with an idea and try it. This is true for defcon, this is true for the forums. Take the lockpick contest as an example... it being on of the cooler things to show up at the last DC. What people still don't seem to get is that Defcon is not some carnival show you pay to go to and be entertained; you can very well get out of it what you and others are willing to put into it.. the goons are just there to help provide the infrastructure and sanity for it to occur.

Wait.. I know I've already given this rant at least twice before... and there sure are a whole bunch of sheeple and SW waiting for their asses to be herded around.

TwinVega, I understand the disgust because it is something that seems to fade in and out in stages... what I don't understand is your point in bitching about it, when at least some effort in combatting it should be made by such parties beforehand.

Appropriate Mod: please consider splitting off a bunch of these crap posts out of this thread... DJ Jackalope had a good thing going
