As stated before, send an email to toxicbbq@lostboxen.net if you want/intend to help out making the BBQ a success. If you have already emailed, (I should have already replied).. a mass email will be sent out to all involved parties on pulling everything together at the beginning of July.

this sounds awesome.. still need to check my mail... dizzy from work and sleep dep and food dep and time dep. the key thing is.. if we get grills from walmart or what not, we also need help with the drive back to return any defective grills we accidentally purchase. will start email details to all folks that emailed support.. just gotta get my bearings first and sleep a few hours

Whoo hoo! Good to see my idea of "borrowing" grills from Wal-Hell come into play. Now if we can just figure out a way to return the food and beer when we are through with it..

Exactly. I don't mind laying out some cash, but I don't need 13 Toxic BBQ shirts for myself. All extra will be gleefully donated to the BBQ fund for food/booze/etc.


I asked about interest for shirts on this very thread and only got two responses. I just want to get the ball rolling on this if there is interest. If there is, I can put something on my web page for people to put their name on a list to get one, make suggestions for logo/slogan, etc.

So if you want one, SPEAK UP (Renderman and Highwiz exempted), or there may not be a shirt to be had.

The BBQ stands with the same info originally posted on the website for who what when where. Details are being hashed out and will all be finalized early July for who is contributing what. From the sounds of it, there will be a fair number of folk... I'm expecting forum meet size.. possibly more if the weather is right for grillin.

Does anyone really know how many people are going to show, and what as been volunteered in the way of food ect yet.. Is this gonna be some kind of help yourself thing? or people BBQing for thier own group?

If more people than food appear, Im thinking its gonna go from open invitation to bring your own crap.. How about a requirement of a donation of cash or food?

I dunno, just wondering how this thing is gonna come off.. or if a ton of people are going to come and beat the crap outta someone for a drumstick.

Alright, it's June 28th. I don't know if JoeSchmuck has confirmed that he is doing the shirts yet, but I would like to know. If not I am going to put a shirt order in so I can make some shirts.. If he is, I'll let it go..

Does no one read the emails I send back to them, or the posts that I put on here? Yes someone knows. I DO. Already stated 4 or 5 times that things will be wrapped up at the beginning of July. If you have sent an email and I have replied with a quick welcome aboard, there is no need to panic folks. If you have stated interest in helping in this thread here but have not emailed toxicbbq@lostboxen.net (russr excluded) don't expect to be on the downlow with the list.

As far as food amounts and specifics, we will have a better idea at the beginning of July. If it is a concern, bring at least enough food/drinks to keep your group happy. Planning on mooching at a free show is not a very solid plan at all. We hope to have plenty of extra, we have many that have offered up winco trips and the like (not assuming that includes pitching in for the supplies yet) ... but no, this is not converge buying everyone at defcon a free burger.. I wish I could, I'll do my best with the money I have.
