Unfair advantage! My goal this year is to not get heat exhaustion at TBBQ3.

Maybe we can get a water hose ran over to our area and hose you down every half hour.

The primary reasons for going, are getting headgear style tips from render, and speak swedish with Thorn's E-cupped nurse.

Seeing the presentations is just an added bonus.

          My reason?

          Oh OWEEE OWWEEEEE

          ::arm being twisted::

Nah just kidding, well, Hrmmm why am I going, a bunch of reasons.

-Peer Pressure(been convinced that defcon is hacker spring break, finally the reason that broke the hackers back, haha lame I know)

-The booze? (I've been told that's a reason to go, so who am I to argue with that theory)

-People to do, things to see(umm yaaaahhhhh thats the ticket ::snaps fingers::)

          -Debuting interesting things(stay tuned)

          -Helping run LPcon/lockpicking village

-Stand tall with my TOOOL, TOOOL-USA, LSI, SSDeV, brethren and sister(en) heh.

-Cause a ruckus(not like I did at Shmoo, ;) find Virosa/Mousling/Deviant for story)

-Biggest reason of not making past ones, HOPE 5 Con was my first and I was at WTH last year where I had to make the Dutch Lockpicking Championship and bring presence of TOOOL-USA to Europe, but don't worry I'll make up for it in spades, or hearts at this one.

          -Eric.

            My main reason:

I don't remember the year before but everyone says I have a good time. Maybe I'll remember this year.

I distinctly recall you showing some nipple action in an attempt to get some free RedBull, you shameless hussy. It looked like a pepperoni sitting on a pasty white xylophone.

              Ahhh, memories....

When you tell 'Show me your titties for a free redbull' to a crowd you need to put it in context that you want to see FEMALE titties. Your lack of clear direction is entirely your fault.

I have no memory of if I got a redbull thrown at me or not, hence the reason you'll probobly be seeing my "pepperoni sitting on a pasty white xylophone" once again.

This will be my first Defcon. I am going to Learn some new things, and to compete with a friend of mine in a competition.

welcome to both the forums and to the con scene. there's no time like your first time... of course remembering it is not a guarantee.

if i may ask, which competition interests you?

I don't feel cool when I go there. I'm tired of seeing John Mayer's face pop up. I feel like I'm being hustled when I visit there, and I don't think their product is that great. DRM, low bit rate, etc... OiNK it existed because it filled a void of what people want."

A friend and I are looking at either aCTF or the Wireless competition.

P.S. - Thanks for the welcome

If you have not found a DCG in your area code here,
Consider starting your own. Maybe there are other people in your area that want a DCG, but can't find one.

you're in for quite a treat, i'd say.

are you coming with a group or by yourself? either way, keep making use of the forums to meet people pre-con and to keep all the events and happenings on your radar. the more you watch, participate in, and see... the better your con experience will be. (you might also want to read through this thread where i solicited optionns of defcon veterans regarding what to bring along)
