M203? Seriously? And I thought I was excited before you mentioned that....

(I must remember to bring a camera this time!)

At DC19 I brought a slew of guns but only fired a couple. This year I'll likely bring my Serbu Super Shorty and not much else. Quality, not quantity!

Same boat, my man. Lugging 300+ lbs of firearms/ammo through the hotel was a little rough. I will be bringing what can fit in a briefcase style case, and 1 ammo can. The contents however, are about as awesome as a resident of the Peoples' Republic of California can (legally) get.

Everything we brought last year was shot. Minus the Browning, which is an event unto itself, I can fit everything in to two pelican cases. ShortGrrl wants to bring her Uzi too, and one must do such things when she makes up her mind.
          TSA luvs my Uzi.

Since I am flying in, I am restricted on the ammo I can bring.

Are there any re-loaders in the group that will be driving in that I could arrange to buy some ammo? From what i hear the range charges a pretty penny for their ammo. Mainly interested in 9mm and 5.56/.223.

Or an alternative, are there any local reputable people attending that I can ship ammo to and avoid the hotel's "handling fee" for arriving packages?

If no-one who is actually going to the range responds, I am driving in and will be there on wednesday sometime. I could meet you some where and give you the stuff you ship. I am in socal

Things other than firearms that you should bring to the desert:

Water(lots of water) or Gatorade better
                    Ear Protection
                    Sun Screen
                    Non-black Hat
                    Sun Glasses
                    Non-black clothing
Good foot wear(yeah, heavy to carry, and annoying to wear, but you will thank me out there)

Gloves(sooo overlooked, black metal weapons in the desert sun firing at high rates HOT HOT HOT) hours & hours to cool down, will take your skin right off like a soldering iron)) If you don't have a foregrip for your weapon, get one. It's kewl and cool to have one. Otherwise prepare to be marked by your weapon.

Going to agree about the quantity of hardware being brought out this year. I shot almost everything I had brought but I believe it would have been better to have a couple of my favorites with me and leave the rest at home. If everything works out, I'll be bringing a new short barrel AR. Debating on putting on a painful muzzle brake or not.

Might be time to drag out some Tannerite. Someone brought out a bunch of golf balls last year. Those were fun to knock around. Fruit is always good too. I might have to find some ice. If you haven't seen a block of ice cut in half with a rifle, I highly recommend it.

The ones in Nevada, especially the indoor ranges.

I plan to fly with some and drop ship other to the hotel.

Am currently debating which two rifles to bring. The 10/22 and AR are both a lot of fun to shoot since they are semi-auto. However, I just bought a new .308 that is a nice 'sniper' weapon but not sure it would be fun for people who are not into long range shooting. I am, because of size of gun case, going to only bring two.

                            Any recommendations?

I believe last year deviant had said no incendiaries, tracers, or tannerite. While tannerite is technically legal and not a fire risk, it does tend to draw unwanted attention, especially in large quantities.

You did have quite a spread there. When I saw you unpacking next to me I was wondering when it would ever end. Surprisingly my snubbie revolver was the most popular with people shooting at my booth, go figure.

The PLR-16 was pretty popular too, but when the linear compensator worked loose, the people at the table next to me (on my right) didn't much appreciate the uncompensated blast from 5.56 from a 10 inch barrel! I didn't dare put the muzzle brake on it.
