DefCON 13

I really don't know much about defCON, (i know i joined the forum with out really knowing very much) all i know is that its a meeting for people with the same interests, and i'm pretty sure its down in california somewhere. i would love to come, but i'm not sure i'd be able too depending on when it is, and how much it costs. does anyone have any idea where defCON 13 will be held? or how much it'll be? if i'm able to go, i'll be available to give rides for some people on the west coast if its(where they live, and defCON) in driving distance.

I'd recommend going to the Defcon website (www.defcon.org) and read every single word you find. By that time they'll hopefully have posted the dates for next year...

Defcon 13 will be held July 29--31. I would be surprised if they held it anywhere other than the Alexis Park (in Las Vegas, NV) with an admission price out of the $80--$100 range.

My first defcon was last year (defcon12). I had a great time. Although I was a little bit worried at first, since it *does* have a reputation of being kind of rough, the con was some of the best times I've had in a long time.
