Ok, time for another update.


I'm starting to see that I'm not good at this. I haven't been able to talk to her, but I at least know why. At the back of my head, I know that I have nothing to open conversation with. It would seem weird for me to start talking to her, right away asking her out or even something smaller.

But, I've been thinking about the "right" thing to say. I figured it out too, it's really the first thing I should've talked to her about. I'm going to find her before school and say:

"I know this'll seem weird and all, but I've been meaning to ask if you liked those flowers."

Cause I really shouldve asked her a looong time ago >_<"

So, after hearing what she has to say, maybe I can ask her if she'd like to eat lunch with me in the cafeteria, even though it always seems that people stare at me when I go in and sit down.

Well, I think that from my next post on, I wont be needing any of this info. But from THIS post on, I don't really care what any of you think, but again, input is fine and all, "get your voice heard" all that jazz...

Oh, and do it or resign yourself to having her only as a friend or not bothering to attempt dating for another few years. There's nothing wrong with waiting and working on yourself. Especially if you don't feel good about yourself; that will make it highly likely you will pick someone undesireable for a mate.

It's not that I've "turned into a dick" it's that after this, there's really nothing else I can do from here on. But people can still use this post to discuss almost anything related to girls. Maybe someone else will have a problem with such and come here too :/

omfg, i can finally make posts regarding this topic. I would like to tell you that ive been in the same situation as u Mr.A and had the same problems. Trust me, in the end it will all go well if it really is meant to be. So yea, just ask her about the flowers and then ask her to eat lunch at the cafeteria, if ppl stare, ignore them. Focus on HER. i agree with astcell 100%. If everything goes well then ask her if she wants to get breakfast/coffee next time. Dont be scared or nervous, just do it, you have nothing to be afraid of. It's only 1 girl. There are plenty of others. I know im basically repeating what like 40 other ppl said in this thread but this is important and u have to understand it.

Look, you got the flowers to her over a week ago, she received them, and is probably wondering why you haven't talked to her. Yeah, yeah, differing schedules and the like, I know. However, you have to put some effort into this or it's going to turn out like the average angst-angst-angst emo song: utterly pointless and a waste of effort that could've been more usefully applied elsewhere.

No, you haven't turned into a dick. But there's a LOT you can do from here, and quite honestly it seems like rather than take the action (probably to avoid possible rejection), you're going to sit back and do nothing. Sitting back and doing nothing leads to the same end result as rejection (getting nowhere with this girl), so unless you get off your ass and talk to her there's damned little sympathy for your position.

Mfreeck and others have given some good advice. I'd recommend you take note of it, approach her, and get it over with. Yeah, being rejected by a girl you're interested in sucks. Not doing anything about it in the first place is worse; trust me on this.
